Arriving three days earlier than expected, Samantha Christine Rand arrived at 10:18 PM August 27th, 2007. She weighed 5 pounds 8 ounces and is doing very well. Cynthia is recovering well also and it appears that they are both well on track to being released from the hospital on Thursday or Friday.

Check out the pictures here of her. The pictures show one right after she was born to ones taken almost 24 hours later when Matthew and her Aunt Alison met her for the first time. I am sure we will be publishing more pictures here soon.

So pass on the word that there is a new Rand in the world. I will have to update the picture on the banner of this webpage to reflect that.
